A Snapshot of Your Day

The Weekend Production Supervisor is responsible for manufacturing products using safe and efficient manufacturing processes through the management of the production team members. Oversee the production process making sure products are produced safely ensuring the highest quality and timeliness and with a commitment to process improvement and business initiatives including Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing. Under minimal direction, supervises all production employees, safety, scheduling assignments, work center balancing, monitoring of fulfillment of customer production and quality requirements, control of scrap and rework, efficiency, application of overtime, and documentation of these activities. The incumbent will act as the primary contact for in-house departments for production related issues in the assigned area and must be able to manage a diverse group of people, motivating staff to work together as one team. Strong leadership skills are the most important personal requirement that allows the Production Supervisor to perform within the role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Lead daily manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, OSHA compliance, and corrective action for unsafe practices.

Monitor production performance, analyze operating results, and collaborate across departments to resolve issues and meet business goals.

Manage workforce planning, including staffing allocation, training, temporary labor needs, attendance tracking, and employee development.

Authorize overtime, address personnel matters, and support disciplinary actions while fostering a productive work environment.

Adjust production schedules and allocate resources to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.

Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives while providing effective leadership, performance management, and operational decision-making.

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s Degree, (BS/BA) or associate’s degree with equivalent work-related experience (4 years) or 10+ years of manufacturing supervision experience.

2+ years of direct supervisory experience and 5+ plus years of manufacturing experience involving machining is preferred.

-
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and or 5S. Working knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems.

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Excellent, demonstrated experience with computers and Microsoft Office software. Prior knowledge of Siemens Energy applications, customers, processes, and products

Conflict resolution experience with an hourly workforce is preferred.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
