Our challenge:

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Generative AI (GenAI) / Agentic AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI-powered applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), autonomous AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building AI solutions using modern frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and open-source LLM technologies.

The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions that automate complex workflows, improve productivity, and create intelligent customer experiences.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise use cases.

Build autonomous and multi-agent systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing tasks.

Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources.

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, Llama, Gemini, and Mistral into business applications.

Develop AI copilots, virtual assistants, intelligent chatbots, and workflow automation solutions.

Design and implement prompt engineering, agent orchestration, tool calling, and memory management frameworks.

Build scalable APIs and microservices supporting AI-powered applications.

Optimize AI model performance, latency, cost, and response quality.

Implement model guardrails, security controls, observability, and governance standards.

Collaborate with data engineering teams to build ingestion, indexing, and semantic search capabilities.

Develop evaluation frameworks for AI model accuracy, hallucination detection, and response quality.

Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.

Stay current with emerging advancements in Agentic AI, LLMs, and AI orchestration frameworks.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

4+ years of software development experience.

2+ years of hands-on experience developing Generative AI solutions.

Strong knowledge of LLM architectures, prompt engineering, and AI application development.

Experience designing and deploying AI applications in cloud environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred, but not required:

Experience building enterprise AI Copilots.

Experience with AI agent evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.

Knowledge of fine-tuning, LoRA, and model optimization techniques.

Experience implementing Responsible AI and AI Governance practices.

Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs and Graph Databases.

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Vector-enabled Data Platforms.

Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and AI interoperability standards.

Experience integrating AI agents with ERP, CRM, ITSM, and business applications.
