## About the Role
IPG is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support Materials R&D through advanced data science, statistics, and machine learning. The role will work closely with polymer scientists, chemists, and engineers to accelerate research and development cycles and improve material performance.
The position will support R&D data workflows, experimental design, and scalable analytics across experimental and process data.
### Key Responsibilities
* Apply data science, statistical analysis, and machine learning to materials R&D.
* Collaborate with polymer scientists, chemists, and engineers on research initiatives.
* Analyze experimental and process data to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
* Support design of experiments (DOE) and data-driven research methodologies.
* Develop scalable analytics approaches for R&D workflows.
* Help accelerate material development cycles through data-driven analysis.
* Support efforts to improve material performance and development outcomes.
* Contribute to data workflows involving experimental and process information.
* Communicate analytical findings and insights with cross-functional technical teams.
### Required Qualifications
* Senior-level experience in data science or a related analytical field.
* Strong knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
* Experience applying data science to research, experimentation, or technical problems.
* Ability to work collaboratively with scientists and engineers.
* Experience working with experimental and/or process data.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to translate data-driven findings into actionable R&D insights.
### Work Arrangement
This is a remote position with travel requirements as needed to support R&D activities and collaboration.
