About the Opportunity
HummingBird is hiring a Talent Acquisition Head on behalf of client, a leading company in the Finance industry based in Chennai.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Head to manage end-to-end recruitment activities and support the organization's growing talent requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing and candidate-engagement skills, excellent stakeholder-management abilities, and a good understanding of recruitment practices within the finance or financial-services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to offer management and onboarding.
- Understand hiring requirements and job specifications from hiring managers and business stakeholders.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies using job portals, LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and other channels.
- Source and identify qualified candidates across various functions within the finance and financial-services domain.
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate assessments based on skills, experience, and role requirements.
- Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate technical and managerial interview rounds.
- Maintain a strong and continuously updated candidate pipeline for current and future requirements.
- Coordinate interview schedules and ensure a smooth candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage offer discussions, negotiations, documentation, and follow-ups with selected candidates.
- Work closely with HR and business teams to ensure timely joining and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, candidate records, and hiring reports.
- Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, source effectiveness, offer-to-join ratio, and pipeline status.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Support employer-branding and talent-engagement initiatives when required.
- Stay updated on talent-market trends, compensation benchmarks, and sourcing strategies within the finance sector.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment.
- Experience recruiting for the Finance, Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong experience in end-to-end recruitment.
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn, job portals, ATS, and other sourcing platforms.
- Excellent candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good stakeholder-management and negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills
- Experience hiring for both specialist and mid-to-senior-level positions.
- Strong understanding of finance and financial-services talent markets.
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other advanced sourcing tools.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Strong networking and candidate-engagement capabilities.
- Data-driven approach to recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of employer-branding and recruitment-marketing initiatives will be an advantage.
