We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer – Java to join our major client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable backend applications and services using modern Java technologies.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to build reliable backend solutions, develop RESTful APIs, implement microservices architecture, and integrate enterprise platforms. Experience with application servers, containerized environments, workflow platforms, and business rule management systems will be highly valued.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java.
- Proficient in Java and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and/or Quarkus.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience deploying and managing applications using JBoss and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with workflow platforms such as IBM Business Automation Workflow (IBM BAW) is preferred.
- Experience with Business Rule Management Systems (BRMS) such as IBM Operational Decision Manager (IBM ODM) is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
