About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a growing technology team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining reliable data pipelines, developing data solutions, and supporting data-driven business initiatives.
This opportunity is suitable for professionals with hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud technologies, databases, and data processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Collect, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Develop and optimize data models, databases, and data warehouses.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or performance issues.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms and engineering tools.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and business teams.
- Implement data quality, security, and governance practices.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability.
- Document data architecture, pipelines, and technical processes.
- Support the development of analytics and reporting solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Python, Java, or another programming language.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
- Familiarity with data warehouses and data modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Understanding of big-data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or similar tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Salary
AED 15,000–25,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, and the employer’s compensation structure.
