Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Build ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models.
- Work with databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Perform data integration from multiple sources.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot data quality or performance issues.
- Implement data validation, transformation, and quality processes.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Software Engineers, and business teams.
- Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines and processes.
- Follow data security, governance, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or a similar technical role.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a similar programming language.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with data processing tools such as Apache Spark is an advantage.
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- English proficiency suitable for professional communication; German language skills may be an advantage depending on the position.
