We are seeking a Test Integration Engineer to support the integration, validation, and troubleshooting of our next-generation autonomous weapon platforms. This hands-on role requires working across electrical, mechanical, and software systems to bring up new hardware, identify and resolve complex technical issues, improve system reliability, and ensure performance in real-world operating environments.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate and validate electrical subsystems, including motor drivers, sensors, cameras, networking, and power systems.
- Lead system bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation efforts across prototype and production platforms.
- Debug and integrate systems involving Linux-based computing platforms and STM32 embedded firmware.
- Utilize laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other instrumentation to diagnose power, signal integrity, timing, and communication challenges.
- Create and execute test plans and procedures for electrical, communication, and system-level validation.
- Investigate failures identified during field testing and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with hardware and software engineering teams to enhance system robustness, reliability, and testability.
- Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, wiring harnesses, and automation tools to improve testing efficiency.
- Support hardware revisions by validating updates and confirming design improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience performing hardware integration, bring-up, and system-level testing.
- Proficiency working within Linux environments using command-line tools.
- Strong practical experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electrical test equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting embedded systems and firmware interactions.
- Familiarity with electrical communication protocols, including: CAN, Ethernet, RS-422/485, UART, I²C
- Ability to write basic scripts or code using Python or C/C++.
- Understanding of real-time systems, embedded architectures, and hardware/software integration challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-power electronics, motor-driven systems, or battery-powered platforms.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or system-level validation environments.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux platforms such as Yocto or Ubuntu-based systems.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and challenges related to field reliability.
- Experience supporting field testing, deployments, or operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve intermittent failures and complex system-level issues.
