Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support the Program Management team in the execution of multiple high-voltage transmission and utility infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, monitoring, and coordinating project schedules using Primavera P6, supporting project delivery from initiation through closeout.
This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers, technical experts, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are effectively managed and communicated.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling & Planning:
- Create, monitor, update, and distribute detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Develop and maintain project schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Establish project activities, assignments, milestones, and work breakdown structures.
- Coordinate project timelines and dependencies across multiple stakeholders.
Schedule Management & Controls
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective scheduling management processes.
- Monitor project timelines, critical paths, and key milestones.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and conflicts, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage schedule revisions and accommodate project scope or timeline changes.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with Project Managers and technical teams to support project execution.
- Coordinate scheduling activities with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication of project schedule updates and performance.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Track project progress and evaluate schedule performance.
- Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and project status updates.
- Audit schedule data and information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide schedule analysis, data, and scenarios to support project decision-making and project acceleration efforts.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent technical diploma or certification may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of project scheduling experience, preferably within construction, infrastructure, utilities, or transmission projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience creating and managing project schedules, activity codes, project coding structures, resources, budgets, and actual cost tracking.
- Experience auditing schedule information and validating schedule quality.
- Experience supporting project teams through schedule analysis and reporting.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Knowledge of portfolio management and milestone tracking techniques.
- Experience with resource planning and project controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in utility, transmission, power, or energized substation construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Project Management processes aligned with PMBOK methodology.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.
