As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will design and development of equipment and tools for lifting, transportation, pre-assembly, and installation of wind turbine components/assemblies will be an added advantage. Ability to perform basic structural load calculations, load path evaluations, rigging calculations, and preliminary FEM validation during concept development.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Minimum 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the wind energy industry preferred.
- Proven experience in the design and development of medium to large-scale steel structures.
- Strong expertise in the design of bolted, welded, and sheet metal structures.
- Proficient in creating 2D manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, welded fabrications, and assemblies using Siemens NX.
- Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and Teamcenter.
- Sound knowledge of GD&T/GPS standards and tolerance stack-up analysis for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Good understanding of DFMEA and design risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Masters, and inspection specifications for wind turbine components.
