The position offers broad exposure across corporate accounting and field operations and is designed for an accounting professional interested in developing toward a future Accounting/Finance Manager or Operations Controller role.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.

- Prepare and analyze WIP schedules, job cost reports, project budgets, and actual-to-forecast results for assigned operating groups.

- Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to review project performance, identify financial risks and opportunities, and improve visibility into profitability.

- Support project setup, contract review, change orders, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.

- Monitor inventory and construction activity to support accurate job costing and WIP reporting.

- Assist with annual audit requirements, including preparation of balance sheet and income statement schedules.

- Contribute to improvements in accounting systems, reporting tools, and processes across Corporate and Operational Finance.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

- 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience, ideally including general ledger/month-end close and project or construction accounting.

- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and percentage-of-completion/project accounting required.

- Construction, infrastructure, field services, or other project-based accounting experience strongly preferred.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP preferred.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational leaders.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

- CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.

- Willingness to travel approximately 2-4 days per month.
