A growing, technology-driven SaaS organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting and finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants the opportunity to help build and scale an accounting function.
The Staff Accountant will have broad exposure across the accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and audit support. This individual will also play an important role in improving processes and strengthening the accounting infrastructure as the organization continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring financial results are complete, accurate, and delivered within established timelines.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules across balance sheet and income statement accounts.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, proactively researching and resolving discrepancies.

- Perform accounting activities directly within NetSuite, supporting accurate transaction processing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and close activities.

- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor activity, customer transactions, cash application, and related reconciliations.

- Support preparation of financial statements and recurring management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

- Assist with revenue and expense analysis, identifying unusual trends, variances, or accounting issues requiring further review.

- Help prepare documentation and schedules for annual audits, tax filings, 1099 reporting, and other compliance requirements.

- Partner with the Accounting Manager and broader Finance team on process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives designed to create a more efficient and scalable accounting environment.

- Maintain strong accounting documentation and internal controls while supporting the continued development of accounting policies and procedures.

- Participate in special projects, including potential acquisition integration, systems implementation, and other growth-related initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience; experience within SaaS, software, technology, or another recurring-revenue environment strongly preferred.

- Hands-on NetSuite experience required, with demonstrated experience using the platform as part of the full accounting cycle.

- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall systems aptitude.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities within a fully remote environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across a growing organization.

- Experience with acquisition integration, accounting system implementations, or scaling accounting processes is a plus.
