Title: Java Backend Developer
Time: Full-Time
Location: Remote (USA)
Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 USD (plus ~$100k equity)

Our client is the first fully integrated real estate ERP system, allowing for AI applications and automation of workflows.
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Backend Developer who will be a key member of a tight-knit team, helping build robust and scalable APIs. In this role, you will write clean, minimal, and easy-to-understand code to solve fundamental problems in real estate sales, leasing, accounting, and maintenance coordination. You will work closely with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to address issues that are massively scalable and used by property investors, vendors, tenants, and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Build robust, clean, and scalable Services and APIs
• Collaborate daily with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to solve scalable product issues
• Solve complex problems across real estate sales, leasing, accounting, and maintenance coordination
• Write concurrent code that optimizes multi-core servers
• Debug code, resolve software issues, and fix performance bottlenecks
• Maintain high code quality through Github peer reviews, Jira tracking, and collaborative design sessions
Qualifications
• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments with high autonomy (Senior-level minimum)
• Strong backend development experience using Java on AWS
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, MySQL, and backend architecture
• Proven track record of debugging code, solving complex performance bottlenecks, and writing concurrent code
• High comfort level using AI-powered tools to build and ship code
• Empathy, strong collaborative spirit, and a startup mentality ready to deliver immediate impact
• Willingness to work remotely in the U.S. across PST, MST, CST, or EST time zones
