About the Role

We are building the next generation of advanced semiconductor equipment. We are looking for a talented, self-driven Staff Electrical Design Engineer / Junior Manager to help bring these groundbreaking systems to life. If you are passionate about electrical systems and ready to transition into a leadership role, this is the position for you.

You will take ownership of designing, developing, and implementing complex electrical and electronic systems for cutting-edge semiconductor machinery, driving projects from initial concept through to manufacturing scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

- Electrical System & Circuit Design: Design advanced electronic circuits, signal processing paths, power distribution networks, and electrical control systems that integrate seamlessly into complex semiconductor equipment.

- Lifecycle Management & Optimization: Manage the complete design lifecycle of electrical systems, ensuring all designs are scalable, reliable, cost-efficient, and optimized for high-volume manufacturing.

- Power & Signal Integrity: Drive innovation in power supply design, including DC-DC/AC-DC converters and signal integrity, collaborating closely with internal teams and global suppliers to select optimal components.

- Compliance & Standards: Author and review schematic captures and PCB designs, ensuring strict compliance with global safety and regulatory standards including UL, CE, RoHS, EMI/EMC, and SEMI.

- Risk Mitigation: Lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and root-cause analysis processes to identify and proactively mitigate potential electrical risks.

- New Product Introduction (NPI): Oversee new product transitions by collaborating closely with manufacturing, testing, and sourcing teams to ensure smooth handovers from design to production while hitting timelines.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical engineering, software, and systems teams to ensure seamless layout, mechanical housing integration, and firmware alignment.

- Mentorship & Technical Excellence: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

- Minimally 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and hardware development, preferably within the semiconductor equipment or high-precision industrial machinery sectors.

- Proven expertise in power supply design (power distribution, AC-DC/DC-DC converters) and actuator/motor control.

- Proficiency with industrial PCB design, schematic capture, and electrical simulation tools.

- Deep knowledge of control systems, feedback loops, and integration with embedded systems and sensors.

- Demonstrated experience informally leading projects or supervising small teams, with a strong desire to coach, mentor, and develop others.

- Practical knowledge of SEMI, UL, CE, RoHS, and EMI/EMC compliance criteria.

- Experience utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for managing Engineering Change Processes (ECR/ECO) and Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Competency in DFMEA and structured problem-solving methodologies.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time during crucial NPI and supplier engagement periods.
