You'll architect and deploy AI systems that accelerate the entire development workflow. This means creating custom agents for code generation, testing, and deployment while maintaining the quality standards of a profitable startup with serious growth plans.
Work from anywhere with complete flexibility on your hours. The team trusts you to deliver results without micromanagement. You'll work directly with the CPTO and product team, using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS to build systems.
This is a rare chance to define how an entire engineering function works with AI. You'll help mentor the team on AI-augmented workflows, evaluate and integrate new models as they emerge, and build the infrastructure that supports rapid, sustainable growth. The company is already profitable and has aggressive expansion plans. Your decisions will shape both the technical architecture and the culture around AI development.
What You'll Do:
• Build and deploy AI agents that automate development workflows from code generation through to production deployment
• Design AI-ready architecture with modular systems that both humans and AI agents can navigate and extend
• Evaluate and integrate the right AI models for specific tasks while mentoring colleagues on effective AI tool adoption
• Own application monitoring, AWS infrastructure improvements, and security audits while shipping AI-generated code at speed
What You'll Need:
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills with 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Daily experience shipping production code using AI coding tools and building custom AI agents or MCPs
• Deep understanding of the AI model landscape with ability to select the right tools for specific engineering tasks
• AWS proficiency and experience with Node.js, React, GraphQL, and modern development workflows
