Our challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to strategic technology initiatives, build scalable solutions using modern Java and frontend frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role requires strong experience in both backend and frontend development, application modernization, cloud technologies, and Agile delivery environments.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $110k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

- Lead or be involved in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Skills:

- 10+ years of software engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE

- 4+ years of experience with business process workflow software

- 8+ years of experience with Spring Framework

- 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux

- 4+ years of JavaScript development experience

- 4+ years of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) experience

- 4+ years of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) experience

- 2+ years of experience in Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, 2.1 or a combination of both

- 1+ years of experience using AI tools (ex. GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot Coding Agent, Cursor, Devin, etc.) to assist with development and testing responsibilities

- Experience in Micro Frontend and Microservices

- Experience working with REST Services

- Experience with API development and knowledge of common design patterns

- Experience with unit testing of Java backend code.

Preferred, but not required:

- Hands on experience doing analysis, coding, and debugging Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate etc.

- Experience with developing GenAI and Agentic AI solutions

- Knowledge of or experience with Kafka

- Experience managing applications in a cloud environment (Azure, Google, Amazon Web Services)

- Experience working in an Agile environment

- Experience with cloud technologies such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud

- Experience with automated deployment CI/CD tools like (Git Actions, Gradle, Harness)

- Experience with “test” centric development methodologies including Test Driven Development (TDD) & Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (ex. MongoDB) is a plus

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with financial services technologies and banking processes (originations, application, approval, fulfillment and closing)
