Our challenge:
We are seeking an experienced ETL Informatica Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, ETL development, data warehousing concepts, SQL optimization, and performance tuning. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and application teams to develop robust data pipelines that support critical business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
Develop and maintain complex mappings, mapplets, workflows, worklets, and reusable transformations.
Perform source-to-target data mapping and data modeling activities.
Integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, cloud applications, flat files, XML, and APIs.
Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
Perform ETL performance tuning and optimization to improve data processing efficiency.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across enterprise systems.
Develop error-handling, logging, auditing, and reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and Analytics teams.
Support production ETL processes and resolve data-related incidents.
Participate in code reviews and ensure ETL development best practices.
Create technical design documents, workflows, and operational runbooks.
Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze data integration requirements.
Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in ETL development.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
Strong expertise in ETL architecture and data integration.
Advanced SQL development skills.
Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Teradata, or DB2 databases.
Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts including:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Fact & Dimension Modeling
- SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions)
Experience in ETL performance tuning and optimization.
Knowledge of data quality and data governance processes.
Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred, but not required:
Informatica Developer/Administrator Certification.
Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
Experience with cloud platforms such as:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Airflow.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
