Key Responsibilities
- Architect system blueprints and build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Establish system observability and monitoring practices using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure high availability.
- Design scalable relational data models, manage Redis caching, and maintain event streaming with Apache Kafka.
- Oversee middleware selection, Docker containerization, cloud deployments on GCP/AWS, and CI/CD integration.
- Lead technical reviews, evaluate open-source software, and establish core engineering standards across teams.
Required Skills
- Java & Spring Framework: 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience using Java and Spring / Spring Boot in microservices environments.
- Observability Standards: Practical experience designing or operating system observability mechanisms (e.g., OpenTelemetry, metrics, tracing, logs, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Database & SQL: Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL or RDBMS schema design, complex query optimization, and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
- API & System Architecture: Hands-on experience designing RESTful APIs (OpenAPI specs), making technical design decisions, and evaluating system trade-offs.
- Cloud & DevOps Fundamentals: Practical cloud engineering experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) combined with containerization (Docker) and unit testing (JUnit).
