We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer 2 to support HIL/SIL verification and validation of embedded control systems and ECUs.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Candidates must have hands-on professional experience with:
- HIL/SIL validation and testing
- dSPACE HIL systems
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Python test automation
- C or C++ programming
- gtest / C++ test automation
- CAN/J1939
- UDS diagnostics
- Vector CANoe/CANalyzer
- ECU integration and system-level verification
- Embedded software/hardware troubleshooting
- Root-cause analysis and defect investigation
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HIL/SIL verification and validation test plans.
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot dSPACE and Vector HIL test benches.
- Develop automated test scripts using Python and C/C++.
- Perform embedded software verification using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Support ECU integration and system-level testing.
- Troubleshoot embedded software, hardware, communication, and HIL/SIL environments.
- Perform defect investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Work with CAN/J1939, UDS, CANoe/CANalyzer, and Vector tools.
- Develop test reports, automation frameworks, and validation documentation.
- Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, system integration engineers, and V&V teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in embedded software, embedded testing, verification/validation, or a related field.
- Internship experience does not count toward the required professional experience.
- Must be able to work onsite full-time in Mossville, IL.
- USC or OPT candidates only.
- W2 only.
Strict Disqualifiers
Candidates will not be considered if they:
- Do not have hands-on HIL/SIL experience.
- Do not have practical dSPACE experience.
- Do not have MATLAB/Simulink experience.
- Do not have embedded C/C++ programming experience.
- Do not have CAN/J1939 and Vector tools experience.
- Have only software QA/testing experience without embedded systems experience.
- Have only internship experience toward the required 2–4 years.
- Cannot work onsite full-time in Mossville, IL.
- Do not meet the USC or OPT work authorization requirement.
- Require a different employment arrangement than W2.

Pay: $30/hr on W2
