About The Role
The Mobile Engineer builds and ships user-facing iOS and Android experiences that make core product workflows fast, reliable, and intuitive. The role may specialize in Swift and SwiftUI, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, or contribute across both platforms through shared architecture and tooling.
You will work with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver mobile features from technical design through App Store and Google Play release. The team values strong platform fundamentals, thoughtful performance work, and disciplined engineering practices for applications used at meaningful scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production mobile applications using Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, or both platform stacks
- Design mobile architecture, data flows, and API integrations that support offline behavior, secure authentication, push notifications, and reliable error handling
- Ship features end-to-end, including technical planning, implementation, automated testing, release coordination, and post-release monitoring
- Improve application performance, startup time, accessibility, crash rates, battery usage, and network efficiency using profiling and observability tools
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user requirements and interaction specifications into polished, accessible mobile experiences
- Create unit, integration, and UI tests using XCTest, XCUITest, JUnit, Espresso, or equivalent frameworks; participate actively in code reviews
- Maintain CI/CD workflows for mobile builds and releases using tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, or comparable platforms
What We Are Looking For
- 3–8 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and maintaining production iOS or Android applications
- Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS development or Kotlin and modern Android development, with practical experience using SwiftUI/UIKit or Jetpack Compose/XML layouts
- Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs, handling asynchronous workflows, local persistence, authentication, and mobile networking constraints
- Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and modular code organization
- Demonstrated experience with automated testing, continuous integration, app release processes, crash reporting, and production debugging
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter, mobile payments, real-time features, accessibility standards, analytics platforms, or contributions to shared mobile infrastructure
