About The Role
The Social Media Manager owns organic social strategy across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and emerging channels, translating product launches, technical insights, customer stories, and company perspective into content that builds reach and demand.
The role matters because social is a primary distribution layer for a technology brand. You will partner with product marketing, engineering, executives, design, and communications to create a consistent voice, grow qualified audiences, and connect social performance to brand engagement, website traffic, and pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the editorial calendar across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and relevant emerging platforms
- Write, edit, and publish platform-specific posts, executive content, product narratives, customer stories, and campaign assets
- Translate complex technical topics—including cloud infrastructure, AI, APIs, cybersecurity, or developer tools—into clear, credible content for technical and business audiences
- Coordinate with product marketing, engineering, design, PR, and demand generation teams to launch integrated social campaigns around releases, events, and announcements
- Monitor conversations, trends, competitors, and community feedback using tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, or native platform analytics
- Build monthly performance reporting across reach, engagement, follower quality, referral traffic, conversion, and assisted pipeline; recommend improvements based on data
- Manage social workflows, approvals, and agency or freelance partners while maintaining brand, legal, accessibility, and editorial standards
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of social media, content marketing, communications, or digital marketing experience, preferably in B2B or B2C technology
- Demonstrated success growing an engaged audience and using organic social to support brand awareness, product adoption, or demand generation
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adjust tone and format for technical, executive, developer, and general business audiences
- Hands-on experience with social publishing, listening, and analytics platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, GA4, or equivalent tools
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, content formats, social trends, community management, and measurement frameworks
- Highly organized project manager who can manage multiple launches, approvals, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field; Bonus: experience with video production, Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud, paid social, influencer or developer-community programs, and technical content creation
