Job Description
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in database testing, ETL validation, Python-based automation, cloud platforms, API testing, and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable automation frameworks, validating complex data workflows, and supporting quality engineering initiatives across cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks from scratch using Python and PyTest.
- Perform ETL process validation and database testing, including data integrity, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Develop and execute complex SQL queries for backend data validation and testing.
- Automate API testing and validate REST-based services, integrations, and data flows.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to validate cloud-based applications and data solutions.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, product teams, and other QA professionals within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Identify automation opportunities and continuously enhance test coverage, framework scalability, and execution efficiency.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar solutions for automation development, test case generation, framework improvements, troubleshooting, and productivity enhancement.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, support root-cause analysis, and communicate quality risks and findings effectively.
- Contribute to QA best practices, automation standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in ETL Process Validation, Database Testing, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with complex SQL queries and backend data validation.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience using PyTest.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with API Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and processes, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools for automation development, test case generation, framework enhancements, and productivity improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale cloud-based applications and data platforms.
- Knowledge of modern QA automation and continuous testing practices.
- Experience integrating automated testing into enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced Agile environment.
