We are looking for a motivated Program Implementation Manager to join a leading financial institution, supporting its banking division on a project-driven basis. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end implementation of a new commercial card program. You will act as the primary project lead, coordinating across internal teams, external partners, and end clients to ensure successful delivery.
This position requires a highly independent individual who can take full ownership of the project lifecycle, drive key decisions, proactively resolve issues, and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision in a fast-paced banking environment.
⇒ Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the commercial card program implementation, from scoping and definition through to execution and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and other functions to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Work with external partners on joint development and implementation activities, ensuring alignment on requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Proactively engage end-clients with timely updates, advice, and issue resolution throughout the project.
- Develop clear statements of work, detailed project plans, delivery timelines, and milestone tracking mechanisms.
- Identify potential bottlenecks or risks early and propose creative, practical solutions to mitigate delays.
- Drive a strong sense of ownership and accountability to achieve on-time, high-quality program implementation.
- Facilitate regular status reporting, governance meetings, and stakeholder communications.
⇒ Qualifications & Experience
Must-have:
- Direct, hands-on experience in commercial cards within the banking sector — this is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently — you are comfortable taking the lead, making decisions, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership mindset with a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions from scoping through to successful implementation.
- Proactive and solution-oriented — you identify risks early, think ahead, and act quickly to resolve issues before they become blockers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Diploma holders with PMP certification will also be considered.
- 3–5 years of project/program management experience, preferably in a bank, financial institution, or payments/card industry.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external partners/clients.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams while independently driving deliverables.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, or similar).
Nice-to-have:
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Prior experience in institutional banking products beyond cards.
