Delta Machine Operator – Second Shift
Location: Plymouth, MI
Shift: Second Shift | Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM
Schedule: 40 hours/week | 10-hour shifts
Shift Premium: Applicable
Pay rate - $18-24/hr
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing or automotive industry experience preferred.
- Experience operating production machinery is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read work orders, specifications, and basic prints.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills; PLEX experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs.
Job Overview
We are seeking a Delta Machine Operator to set up and operate automated die-cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading work orders and part prints, setting up tooling, operating machinery, monitoring quality, and meeting production schedules.
Previous Delta machine experience is not required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate automated die-cutting equipment.
- Read work orders, production schedules, specifications, and part prints.
- Install and remove tooling and perform machine make-ready.
- Program and adjust the press for production requirements.
- Monitor machine operation and product quality.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and tooling issues.
- Inspect cutting dies and identify defects or required corrections.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and time records.
- Complete jobs according to production schedules and communicate issues to the supervisor.
- Package finished parts and maintain proper shift handoff.
- Perform required basic maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Enter production, inventory, and waste information into computer systems.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
