Investment Research & Portfolio Analytics Specialist
We are looking for an Investment Research & Portfolio Analytics Specialist who can combine strong financial analysis, market research, and data-driven decision-making to evaluate companies, industries, and investment opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial statements, valuation models, market data, portfolio analysis, and investment research.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct detailed equity, company, sector, and industry research
• Analyze financial statements, annual reports, earnings releases, investor presentations, and regulatory filings
• Build and review financial models, including DCF valuation, comparable company analysis, ratio analysis, revenue and earnings forecasts, and scenario/sensitivity analysis
• Evaluate companies based on fundamentals, valuation, competitive positioning, management quality, and growth potential
• Conduct portfolio performance and risk analysis
• Monitor market trends, macroeconomic developments, interest rates, and industry-specific developments
• Prepare concise investment research reports, company profiles, and investment memos
• Analyze portfolio allocation, diversification, exposure, volatility, and overall performance
• Work with large financial datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, financial databases, and analytical tools
• Identify investment risks, catalysts, opportunities, and potential downside scenarios
• Compare companies across sectors using quantitative and qualitative frameworks
• Present findings and recommendations in a clear, structured, and data-backed manner
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, equity valuation, investment analysis, portfolio management, and financial markets
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Strong research and report-writing abilities
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and convert it into actionable insights
• High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
• CFA Level I, II, or III candidates or CFA Charterholders are highly preferred
• MBA Finance, CA, FRM, or similar professional qualification
• Experience in equity research, investment banking, asset management, portfolio management, private equity, hedge funds, or financial consulting
• Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, Refinitiv, Morningstar, Screener, or similar financial databases
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or financial data analytics is a plus
• Experience with AI-assisted financial research and analytical tools is an advantage
