- Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager with a strong background in selling capital equipment and consumables to semiconductor industry customers.
The role will be responsible for developing sales opportunities, managing relationships with key decision-makers, understanding customer technical requirements, presenting suitable solutions, developing commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and driving opportunities through closure.
The candidate should have a good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to work closely with technical, engineering, marketing, and customer-support teams. 4. Required Qualifications 5. Technical Skills
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for semiconductor capital equipment and consumables to achieve assigned revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities within semiconductor manufacturing and related customer accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships with key technical, procurement and business decision-makers at semiconductor companies.
- Understand customer manufacturing requirements, technical challenges, specifications, and application needs.
- Present and demonstrate capital equipment, consumables, and related technical solutions to prospective customers.
- Address technical and commercial queries and clearly communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customer-specific technical and commercial proposals.
- Ensure proposals comply with internal pricing, commercial, and profitability guidelines.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and contract closure with customers.
- Maintain awareness of semiconductor industry trends, technology developments, customer requirements, and competing solutions.
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, customer interactions, sales forecasts, and activity records using CRM tools.
- Coordinate with marketing, engineering, technical support, and customer-support teams to ensure smooth transition from sales closure to implementation and ongoing customer support.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant technical sales experience.
- Demonstrated experience selling capital equipment and/or consumables to the semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing customer relationships and engaging with key decision-makers.
- Strong technical presentation, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and closing skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel based on customer and business requirements.
- MBA is an advantage but not mandatory.
