Senior Project Integrator / Technical Controls Lead
Redmond, WA | Full-time | Predominantly On-site | Minimal Travel
Relocation Support Available
I’m recruiting for a senior controls opportunity with a growing systems integration business in Redmond.
The team is looking for someone who combines strong PLC/SCADA technical capability with leadership experience and direct exposure to critical infrastructure environments.
This is not a pure management role. You’ll remain close to the engineering while helping guide and develop a small controls team, acting as a key technical resource across complex customer projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide technical leadership across PLC, SCADA/HMI and controls integration projects
- Support and develop a small team of controls engineers/integrators
- Review PLC code, controls architecture and technical designs
- Troubleshoot complex controls and integration issues
- Support Ignition and other SCADA/HMI applications
- Help establish engineering standards and technical consistency
- Support project scoping, estimating and proposal development
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning and startup activities
- Work directly with customers, project managers and other engineering disciplines
- Help bridge industrial controls and building-controls environments
What we’re looking for
- Strong hands-on PLC programming experience
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix, Studio 5000 and/or Schneider
- Strong SCADA/HMI background
- Ignition experience highly desirable
- Previous technical lead, team lead, mentoring or people-management responsibility
- Full project lifecycle experience from design through commissioning
- Comfortable acting as the technical escalation point for other engineers
- Experience supporting project scope, estimates and technical proposals
Direct sector experience is important
The client is specifically looking for someone with direct controls experience in at least one of the following:
- Data centers / critical facilities
- Water or wastewater treatment plants
- HVAC / BMS / BAS / building automation
Candidates with strong controls backgrounds outside these areas are less likely to be a fit for this particular opportunity.
Why consider it?
- Senior technical leadership without moving away from engineering
- Predominantly local Seattle/Redmond workload
- Minimal travel
- Exposure across PLC, SCADA, BMS and critical infrastructure
- Opportunity to influence technical standards and team development
- Competitive compensation package
- Relocation support available for the right candidate
- The team is looking to move quickly
If you’re a senior controls professional with strong PLC/SCADA experience, leadership capability and direct exposure to data centers, water/wastewater or HVAC/BMS, I’d be keen to speak with you.
