Human Resources Director
📍 Rock Hill, SC 💲 Up to $125,000 Base Salary + Benefits
A growing and well-established construction company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead all aspects of the HR function. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on HR leader who enjoys wearing multiple hats, partnering with executive leadership, and building scalable people processes in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and operational, capable of developing HR initiatives while remaining actively involved in day-to-day employee support and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Human Resources operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Manage compensation, benefits, leave administration, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support recruiting and retention efforts for both field and office personnel
- Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and performance concerns
- Maintain HR systems, employee records, and reporting requirements
- Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Experience supporting a dynamic workforce in construction, manufacturing, trades, or similar industries preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
