This is a 6 - month contract with our client in the banking sector.
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to help build an AI-native Payments Operating System. You will design, deploy, and maintain agentic AI workflows to automate high-risk financial operations—including least-cost routing, reconciliations, incident response, and audit workflows—ensuring execution speed with strict control integrity.
Responsibilities include:
- Build Agentic Workflows: Design and deploy AI agents for automated reconciliations, audit prep, financial analytics, and incident handling.
- Orchestrate & Integrate: Build integrations across APIs and data pipelines using Python or Java (Spring AI), Claude APIs, n8n (or equivalent), and MCP multi-agent layers.
- Enforce AI Governance: Implement risk tiering, human-in-the-loop approvals, full audit logging, and data access controls in regulated environments.
- Platform & Scaling: Create reusable AI frameworks, standards, and ROI/efficiency tracking dashboards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Payments Backend, Infrastructure, Compliance, and Audit teams to translate financial requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements include:
- AI & Orchestration: Proven experience deploying production-grade LLM applications, multi-agent frameworks (MCP/similar), and workflow engines (n8n, Temporal, or similar).
- Development Stack: High proficiency in Python or Java (Spring AI), REST API design, and data pipeline integration.
- AI Governance & Risk: Hands-on understanding of LLM failure modes, guardrails, and auditability in high-stakes environments.
- Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Demonstrated ability to independently build, test, deploy, and maintain production software end-to-end.
