Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- At least 3 years of litigation experience.
- Prior plaintiff-side employment law experience.
- Substantive experience handling employment claims such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour violations, or related employee-rights matters.
- Experience managing significant aspects of litigation rather than solely supporting other attorneys.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Strong written discovery, legal research, and motion practice skills.
- Experience with mediation and settlement negotiations.
- Ability to evaluate cases, develop litigation strategy, manage deadlines, and move cases toward resolution or trial.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, oral advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Strong judgment, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters.
- A genuine commitment to representing employees and protecting workplace rights.
Highly Valued, But Not Required
- First- or second-chair trial experience.
- Arbitration experience.
- Experience independently managing plaintiff-side employment cases from filing through settlement, arbitration, or trial.
- Spanish fluency.
You do not need to have first-chaired multiple jury trials to be considered. We are interested in strong plaintiff-side employment litigators who have developed solid litigation skills and are ready to take the next step into greater case ownership and trial responsibility.
