Hands-on AI Tech Lead - €130,000 to €150,000
This one is for the engineers who moved into leadership but never really wanted to stop being engineers.
I'm working with a major global entertainment business that's building out a team focused on AI-driven products across the TV and film production world.
They're looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead / Manager to lead a mixed team across Backend, Full Stack, ML and Data.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your week in meetings and Jira.
You'll still be close to the code, getting involved in architecture, prototyping, system design and solving difficult technical problems alongside the team.
You'll be working on things like:
- Generative AI and AI agents
- Rapid prototyping and experimentation
- Taking AI products from idea through to production
- Architecture and system design
- AI-assisted development
- Building scalable, production-grade software
- Leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary engineering team

They're pretty open on your exact technical background. What's more important is that you've built serious software, you're still technically strong and you've got experience leading other engineers.
Could suit a hands-on Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or even a Staff Engineer who's already taken on leadership responsibilities.
If you've moved into management but miss actually building things, this could be a very good one.
