6G AI Researcher - Computer Vision & Physical Intelligence
About the Role
We are seeking an AI Researcher with expertise in Computer Vision, Robotics, or Physical AI to drive applied research in next-generation intelligent systems. You will work across the AI model lifecycle, from developing multimodal models and novel algorithms to optimizing inference for reliable deployment in resource-constrained environments.
Your research will contribute to 5G/6G-enabled immersive communication, teleoperation, and intelligent robotic systems, bridging advanced AI research with real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct applied research in computer vision, multimodal learning, and Physical AI, developing novel algorithms to improve model performance, robustness, and efficiency.
- Develop and optimize AI solutions for low-latency, reliable, and resilient operation over next-generation telecommunications networks.
- Design, implement, fine-tune, and optimize AI models for robotic perception, manipulation, and control, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to define research directions, build prototypes, and translate research outcomes into practical solutions.
- Identify emerging technologies and research trends across AI, robotics, telecom AI, and Physical Intelligence, and assess their potential for future applications.
- Drive research projects independently from problem definition and algorithm design through experimentation, prototyping, and deployment.
Technical Requirements
- Proven R&D experience in Computer Vision, Robotics, Multimodal AI, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing computer vision and multimodal AI models.
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning, model adaptation, or multimodal model development.
- Proficiency in mainstream AI frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, C, or similar languages.
- Understanding of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, Physical AI, robotic systems, or embodied AI is highly desirable.
- Experience with model optimization, inference acceleration, or edge/resource-constrained AI deployment is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry research experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead AI research and development projects from concept to implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Publications in leading AI/ML or computer vision conferences and journals, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or AAAI, are preferred.
