JAVA AI ARCHITECT
Location: Dallas, TX — Onsite ( Locals Preffered)
Experience: 15+ Years
Java AI Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade, AI-enabled applications. The ideal candidate will combine deep Java architecture expertise with hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, cloud platforms, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
Key Responsibilities
• Define the architecture and technical strategy for Java-based AI and Generative AI solutions
• Design scalable microservices and distributed applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
• Architect LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, intelligent agents, and AI orchestration workflows
• Integrate AI models and services with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and messaging platforms
• Evaluate LLMs, embedding models, vector databases, agent frameworks, and emerging AI technologies
• Establish standards for prompt engineering, model evaluation, hallucination reduction, groundedness, and output quality
• Design secure RESTful APIs, event-driven services, and real-time integration solutions
• Lead cloud-native architecture using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Implement security, identity, access control, observability, resiliency, and responsible AI practices
• Provide technical leadership, architecture governance, code reviews, and mentoring across distributed teams
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, AI engineers, developers, DevOps teams, security teams, and business stakeholders
• Guide AI solutions from proof of concept through production deployment and operational support
Required Qualifications
• 15+ years of enterprise software development and architecture experience
• Expert-level knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, and microservices
• Strong experience serving as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and AI agents
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Spring AI, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of embeddings, vector search, semantic retrieval, reranking, and knowledge-grounded generation
• Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, Azure AI Search, OpenSearch, or pgvector
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source language models
• Strong knowledge of Kafka or other event-driven messaging technologies
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation
• Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API security, encryption, and secrets management
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and technical-leadership skills
• Ability to work onsite in Dallas, TX
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience architecting enterprise AI platforms or multi-agent systems
• Experience with model evaluation, AI observability, tracing, guardrails, and Responsible AI
• Knowledge of Python and common AI/ML libraries
• Experience modernizing legacy Java applications using cloud-native and AI technologies
• Experience delivering AI solutions in banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications, or another regulated industry
• Relevant Java, cloud, architecture, or AI certifications
