Job Purpose:
The purpose of this position is the leadership, supervision, and management of staff in the production, warehouse, maintenance and quality assurance departments. The aim is to ensure a structured and efficient working method for a smooth production flow, as well as the continuous optimisation of production processes. Furthermore, this role includes the implementation, maintenance and further development of the operational management system.
Responsibilities:
General:
- Recruitment of staff for assigned departments, subject to consultation and approval by management.
- Allocation of tasks to staff in the assigned departments.
- Monitoring and control of prescribed safety regulations.
- Initiation of production process optimisation projects and the monitoring of their implementation and assessment.
- Conducting staff appraisals.
- Ensuring production output regarding volume, deadlines and quality within the framework of the specified production programme and processing / production standards.
- Compliance with statutory requirements for health and safety, environment and energy in collaboration with management. This also includes relevant legal topics regarding building infrastructure.
- Planning the maintenance of production equipment to ensure trouble-free operation.
- Recording, investigating and evaluating deficiencies, as well as initiating and monitoring corrective actions.
- Coordination of measures and activities to improve the management system, as well as its control and implementation.
- Planning, conducting and documenting internal management audits.
- Assessing the effectiveness of the management system and reporting to senior management as a basis for evaluating the management system.
- Ensuring the application and maintenance of the documentation system (management system manual, procedural and work instructions and other documents).
- Preparation, accompaniment and evaluation of external certification audits.
- Monitoring production planning regarding delivery reliability and optimal inventory levels.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participation in defining QM, QA, environmental and energy targets for the site and their monitoring.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Completed technical training/education.
- Several years of technical knowledge and experience in plastics and elastomer processing.
- Knowledge of the complex process engineering relationships in injection moulding and extrusion processes.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Knowledge of current legal requirements at the site.
- Leadership, motivation, and professional development of staff.
- Completed training in standards 9001/14001/50001.
- Decisiveness and assertiveness.
