Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled RF Optimization Engineer responsible for engineering, monitoring, and analyzing RAN KPI statistics to identify performance issues and initiate corrective actions. The role involves utilizing multiple data sources for cell site statistics, analyzing network performance, and ensuring compliance with defined KPIs. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the quality and performance of wireless networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer, monitor, and analyze RAN KPI statistics to identify performance trends and issues.
- Utilize various tools and data sources to gather and assess cell site performance statistics.
- Proactively initiate corrective actions to resolve performance issues.
- Generate reports, processes, and procedures to maintain and improve network performance.
- Monitor KPIs including Retainability, Accessibility, Integrity, Mobility, HO Optimization, and new feature activations.
- Ensure network compliance with LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and EvDO wireless data standards.
- Conduct data analysis using tools such as NEMO, XCAL, TEMS, Actix Analyser, and Windcatcher.
- Provide insights on network performance, recommending improvements for VoLTE and 5G implementations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and EvDO wireless data.
- At least 1 year of experience with 5G technologies.
- Experience in VoLTE implementation and configuration.
- Experience using drive data collection tools like NEMO, XCAL, and TEMS.
- Proficiency in data processing tools/software such as Actix Analyzer, Windcatcher, XCAL, and TEMS.
- Knowledge of LTE 3GPP standards, LTE RAN air interface, and Layer 3 signaling.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills in monitoring and troubleshooting wireless networks.
- Proficiency in generating RF engineering reports using Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
