We are in search of proactive and experienced MEP DRAFTING ENGINEERS to join our headquarters team in Umm Al Quwain, UAE.
Position: MEP DRAFTSMAN or MEP DRAUGHTSMAN (Mechanical)
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented MEP Draftsman to support our engineering, design, and project teams. The successful candidate will prepare accurate technical drawings for mechanical and electrical systems and coordinate with engineers and other construction disciplines.
Previous UAE construction experience in MEP drafting is required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings and layouts for mechanical and electrical systems according to project specifications.
- Develop and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordinated MEP layouts.
- Prepare drawings for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical, and other MEP services.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and civil drawings to prevent clashes.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to convert design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Revise drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, authority requirements, or client feedback.
- Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control and tracking.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and drawing accuracy.
- Assist in preparing drawings and documents for authority submissions and project handovers.
- Ensure all drawings comply with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, project specifications, and company drafting standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Diploma in Drafting Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant UAE experience as an MEP Draftsman within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit MEP and other drafting software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with MEP drawings, schematics, load schedules, ducting, piping, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and electrical layouts.
- Good understanding of UAE building codes, authority submission procedures, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to attend site visits and coordination meetings when required.
