Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. is undertaking a significant business transformation through the implementation of Epicor Kinetic ERP across its Canadian and U.S. operations.
The Agincourt ERP Project will replace several legacy systems with a single integrated ERP platform supporting Manufacturing and Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Field Services, Finance, and IT.
A central objective of the program is to strengthen Sirius's manufacturing and financial capabilities, including the implementation of standard costing and manufacturing cost accounting that will provide improved visibility into production costs, cost variances, pricing, margins, and profitability.
Sirius is seeking a Senior ERP Business Analyst to join the program at an early stage of implementation. The successful candidate will work directly with business stakeholders, project leadership, and the ERP implementation partner to analyze current operations, redesign business processes, define requirements, support solution design, and help guide the organization through implementation.
This position requires a strong combination of senior Business Analysis expertise, manufacturing operations experience, ERP implementation experience, and practical manufacturing cost-accounting knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to)
- Lead requirements discovery across Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Field Services, and IT through workshops, interviews, working sessions, and other structured elicitation techniques.
- Develop and maintain current-state and future-state process maps, identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, manual workarounds, and opportunities for process standardization and improvement.
- Apply business process engineering and re-engineering techniques to help design scalable future-state processes rather than simply replicating existing practices within the new ERP.
- Translate business needs into clear business, functional, system, data, integration, reporting, and control requirements using appropriate Business Analysis frameworks and documentation techniques.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions, document decisions and recommendations, resolve conflicting requirements, and help stakeholders reach consensus on future-state processes and system design.
- Perform or support ERP fit-gap analysis, evaluating requirements against standard ERP capabilities and identifying where configuration, process changes, integrations, reporting, or other solutions may be required.
- Participate in ERP functional and system-design sessions and ensure proposed solutions align with business requirements, operational objectives, controls, scalability, and maintainability.
- Act as a key liaison between Sirius and the ERP implementation partner, including clarification of requirements, review of proposed solutions and deliverables, issue resolution, and validation of design decisions.
- Support the design and implementation of standard costing and manufacturing cost-accounting processes, including materials, labour, overhead, cost roll-ups, production costs, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances.
- Help define requirements for variance analysis and full variance decomposition, enabling the business to better understand manufacturing cost drivers and improve pricing, margins, operational performance, and profitability.
- Analyze the costing implications of manufacturing activities such as bills of material, routings, labour, overhead allocation, production transactions, inventory movements, and engineering changes.
- Support process and system requirements associated with engineer-to-order and configure-to-order manufacturing.
- Develop business cases, options analyses, impact assessments, recommendations, and supporting decision materials for significant process and ERP decisions.
- Support requirements traceability through solution design, configuration, testing, user acceptance, and implementation.
- Contribute to data migration, integration, reporting, testing, business readiness, process documentation, and deployment activities as required.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- 5+ years of ERP Business Analyst experience, including significant involvement in ERP implementation, transformation, or modernization initiatives.
- Strong experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Direct experience implementing or materially supporting manufacturing cost accounting and standard costing within an ERP environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing costing concepts, including direct materials, labour, manufacturing overhead, cost roll-ups, inventory valuation, production costs, and manufacturing variances.
- Ability to understand how accurate manufacturing cost information and variance analysis support pricing, gross-margin improvement, operational decision-making, and profitability.
- Strong senior-level Business Analysis capabilities encompassing:
o Requirements elicitation and management
o Workshop facilitation
o Process mapping and process modelling
o Business process engineering/re-engineering
o Current-state and future-state analysis
o Fit-gap analysis

- Experience participating in ERP functional or system-design activities and translating business requirements into implementable solutions.
- Experience working directly with ERP vendors, implementation partners, system integrators, or external consulting organizations.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, Finance, Manufacturing, operational teams, technical teams, and frontline stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree is required. Relevant disciplines may include Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or another field accompanied by substantial directly relevant ERP, manufacturing, and cost-accounting experience.
- Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite throughout the engagement.
ERP PLATFORM EXPERIENCE
Sirius is implementing Epicor Kinetic ERP; however, previous Epicor experience is preferred rather than mandatory.
Candidates with strong manufacturing ERP implementation experience using comparable platforms will be considered, including:
- Epicor Kinetic
- IFS Cloud
- Infor CloudSuite Industrial / SyteLine
- QAD
- Plex
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management
- SAP S/4HANA
- Other comparable manufacturing-focused ERP solutions
Regardless of platform, candidates must demonstrate meaningful ERP experience within a manufacturing environment where manufacturing operations and cost accounting formed a significant part of the solution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The following would be considered assets:
- Epicor Kinetic implementation experience.
- Experience with engineer-to-order and/or configure-to-order manufacturing.
- Advanced manufacturing costing and variance-analysis experience.
- Experience with multi-company, multi-entity, or Canadian/U.S. ERP implementations.
- Experience across ERP-enabled Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, or Field Service functions.
- IIBA certification such as CBAP or CCBA.
- CPA designation or substantial accounting/financial-management experience.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be a senior Business Analyst who can operate comfortably at both the strategic and detailed levels.
They must be capable of understanding how a manufacturing business operates today, challenging existing processes constructively, designing improved future-state processes, translating those decisions into ERP requirements, and working effectively with both business stakeholders and implementation specialists.
This individual should be equally comfortable facilitating a cross-functional workshop, mapping a manufacturing process, discussing costing requirements with Finance, evaluating an ERP solution with the implementation partner, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
Manufacturing and cost-accounting experience are fundamental requirements for this position. Candidates whose ERP experience does not include meaningful exposure to manufacturing operations and manufacturing cost accounting will not be considered.
ENGAGEMENT:
Contract – approximately 12 months / project duration
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a 100% onsite position.
Regular in-person collaboration with Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, project leadership, and the ERP implementation team is an essential part of the engagement.
Pay: $110,000.00 per year
