This is an excellent opportunity for someone with maritime compliance experience who enjoys working with engineering teams, classification societies, regulators and customers to ensure complex systems achieve certification and operational approval.
What you'll be doing
- Managing compliance activities across maritime engineering programmes.
- Developing and maintaining compliance matrices covering regulatory and certification requirements.
- Coordinating compliance with MCA Workboat Code Edition 3, Classification Society Rules, Flag State requirements and customer standards.
- Acting as the primary interface with classification societies and regulatory authorities.
- Supporting audits, surveys, inspections and certification activities.
- Working closely with systems, electrical, software and mechanical engineers to ensure compliance requirements are incorporated into designs.
- Producing compliance reports, gap analyses, action plans and evidence packages.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of compliance processes and methodologies across the business.
What we're looking for
- Experience with maritime regulatory compliance activities.
- Understanding of certification and approval processes.
- Experience interpreting technical standards, regulations and rule sets.
- Knowledge of maritime standards such as MCA Workboat Code, Classification Society Rules or SOLAS.
- Experience creating and maintaining compliance matrices.
- Experience conducting compliance assessments and gap analyses.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within the maritime sector.
- Experience with autonomous systems.
- Experience managing systems in operational service.
