Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst - TSBI with strong expertise in data migration, data integration, legacy system analysis, and AWS-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing source-to-target mappings, data lineage, transformation rules, and legacy ETL processes while working closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and technical stakeholders.

The role involves supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy data warehouse platforms such as IBM Netezza to AWS-based data lake and analytics environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze legacy systems, business requirements, and source-to-target mappings to define data migration and integration objectives

- Perform data profiling, validation, impact analysis, and source-to-target data tracing using SQL

- Document end-to-end data lineage, transformation rules, surrogate key logic, and reference data dependencies

- Review legacy ETL processes and code to identify and document business rules

- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to design and validate L2/L3 data models

- Prepare technical design documents, data movement models, and mapping specifications

- Design and support key management and surrogate key generation processes across L2 and L3 data layers

- Support AWS-based data pipelines using S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Step Functions

- Support migration of IBM Netezza workloads to AWS data lake and analytics environments

- Ensure data quality, governance, security, compliance, and metadata management standards

- Collaborate with data science, business, and technology teams to integrate analytical models and enterprise data assets

- Support CI/CD deployments, unit testing, SIT, UAT, performance testing, and production releases

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processing frameworks for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency

- Develop reusable design patterns, onboarding frameworks, and best practices for enterprise data integration

- Provide ongoing production and operational support for data platforms and workflows

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong Business Analysis experience within data migration and integration projects

- Hands-on experience with SQL, data profiling, validation, and impact analysis

- Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping and data lineage

- Experience documenting transformation rules and business logic from legacy systems

- Knowledge of L2/L3 data models and data warehouse concepts

- Experience with AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Step Functions

- Experience with legacy data warehouse migration, particularly IBM Netezza

- Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and metadata management

- Experience working with Agile delivery teams and cross-functional stakeholders

- Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
