Overview

BNY Wealth is seeking a Head of Wealth Select to lead a centralized national fiduciary business serving a broad base of trust relationships across the wealth platform. This is a high-impact senior leadership role overseeing a scaled and significant fiduciary-driven business, with meaningful responsibility for growth, market partnership, business performance, and the advisor and client experience.

This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded leader who seeks to strengthen, modernize, and grow an existing robust business. The role will be responsible for setting strategy, driving business performance, enhancing the client and advisor experience, and evolving the model through innovation, digital enablement, and AI adoption.

As the primary leadership connection point between this business and regional market leadership, this executive will ensure strategic alignment, coordinated execution, disciplined risk management, and consistently high-quality fiduciary delivery across the platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the overall strategy, direction, and performance of the national fiduciary business in support of growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value.

Provide senior leadership across fiduciary management and portfolio/investment management, ensuring quality, consistency, strong client outcomes, and disciplined execution.

Maintain executive oversight of fiduciary activities, ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are fulfilled to the highest standards, and fiduciary risk is managed rigorously and consistently.

Oversee portfolio and investment implementation to ensure alignment with client objectives, investment strategy, and prudent risk parameters.

Hold ultimate accountability for fiduciary and investment decision-making across the business.

Partner closely with regional market leaders and advisors to identify growth opportunities, strengthen market execution, and ensure the business remains responsive to client and field needs.

Serve as the primary point of alignment between the centralized fiduciary business and market leadership, coordinating priorities, execution, and resource deployment.

Drive operational excellence, service delivery, productivity, and control enhancements in partnership with key support functions and the regional markets.

Lead financial management of the business, including oversight of performance drivers that support sustained growth and profitability.

Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive culture focused on accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Oversee organizational design, hiring, performance management, compensation, succession planning, and leadership development across the platform.

Identify and advance opportunities to improve the operating model, enhance the client and employee experience, and accelerate business outcomes through innovation, digital enablement, and AI adoption.

Bring a builder’s mindset to the role, proactively identifying opportunities to expand capabilities, improve scalability, and increase the strategic value of the business to the broader wealth platform.

Contribute to broader enterprise leadership priorities, including special projects, committees, and councils.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Advanced or graduate degree preferred.

15+ years of total work experience required.

3–5 years of management experience required.

Experience in securities, wealth management, investment management, or financial services preferred.
