Position Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and operational HR leader, partnering closely with leaders and employees across the organization. This role aligns human resources initiatives with business objectives, supporting workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.

The Sr. HRBP provides guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, change management, and workforce strategies while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership:

- Partner with business leaders to understand organizational goals and workforce needs.

Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.

Provide guidance and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to management on people-related matters.

Employee Relations:

Manage complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough investigations.

Provide coaching and support to managers regarding performance concerns and employee issues.

Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Performance Management & Talent Development:

Lead and support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.

Coach managers on employee development and succession planning strategies.

-
Support leadership development and employee growth initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management:

-
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Advise leadership on labor and employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and workplace standards.

Maintain compliance with company policies and HR best practices.

-
Mitigate organizational risk through proactive HR guidance.

Organizational Effectiveness & Employee Engagement:

Partner with leadership to drive employee engagement initiatives.

Support change management programs and organizational transformation efforts.

Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

-
Recommend strategies to enhance employee experience, retention, and productivity.

HR Operations and Recruitment Support:

Support recruitment efforts for key and critical business positions.

Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs and processes.

Collaborate with HR team members to drive continuous process improvement initiatives.

Support HR systems and technology utilization to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including HR Business Partner responsibilities.

Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment law.

Demonstrated experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations.

-
Experience supporting performance management and talent development initiatives.

-
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills.

-
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

-
Experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, warehousing, or transportation industries.

-
Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

-
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

-
Experience with UKG Ready HRIS.

-
Experience supporting operations within a distribution center environment.

- 10-20% Travel required- regular visits to Southern CA sites
