Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. As an RBT, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, collect and analyze behavioral data, and provide direct behavioral therapy to promote positive outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through evidence-based practices and collaborative care.

Responsibilities

- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders.

- Collect accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.

- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and skill development.

- Support the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy protocols in various settings, including home-based environments and schools.

- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency in care and progress tracking.

- Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts, maintaining high standards of ethical practice.

- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, and behavior management techniques.

Requirements

- Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including supervised experience in behavior assessment and BSP implementation and monitoring.

- Full-time, Non-exempt position. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Must be able to travel, primarily within Bergen, Passaic, and Middlesex Counties.

- Experience working in home-based behavioral therapy or school settings is preferred.

- Strong understanding of medical records management, medical terminology, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance.

- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.

- Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey or New York.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
