Retail Store Manager
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Store Manager at our retail vape store. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive work environment. As a Store Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers and fostering a knowledgeable and motivated team.
Salary is 50k + bonuses
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Store Operations:
- Manage all aspects of the store's daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, as well as regulatory requirements related to the vaping industry.
- Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage stock replenishment to ensure adequate product availability.
- Utilize sales and inventory management systems to track product performance, analyze trends, and generate reports.
Sales and Customer Service:
- Drive sales growth by implementing effective sales strategies, promotional activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, sales techniques, and exceptional customer service.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, resolving customer inquiries or issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, actively engaging with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback.
- Monitor customer trends and preferences, provide recommendations for product assortment, and collaborate with suppliers on new product introductions.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise sales associates, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations, establish goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training to develop the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication among team members.
- Create a motivational work environment that recognizes and rewards exceptional performance.
Financial Management:
- Manage store expenses, such as labor costs, supplies, and maintenance, within budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, expenses, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotions to drive sales while maintaining profitability.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures, perform cash register audits, and reconcile cash discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the district manager or senior management on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably within the vaping or related industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences to customers.
- Knowledge of vaping products, industry trends, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers and team members.
