Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with efficiency and attention to detail
- Manage cash drawer handling and cash handling procedures, ensuring all transactions are secure and precise
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, enhancing their shopping experience
- Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an appealing store layout
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or follow-up calls
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed
Skills
- Proven experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Demonstrated supervising experience or ability to oversee team tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual settings to connect with diverse customers
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Familiarity with retail sales strategies such as upselling and product demos to boost revenue
- Knowledge of retail store policies on cash drawer handling, cashiering procedures, and sales documentation
