Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised appropriately
- Provide exceptional patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating personal details and treatment notes
- Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilisation in line with health and safety regulations
- Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic workflow
- Support with administrative tasks such as answering queries, managing patient correspondence, and maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment areas
- Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare environment is desirable; training will be provided for suitable candidates seeking to develop their skills
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems are required
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A caring attitude with a focus on delivering excellent patient care is vital
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care will be advantageous but can be developed through on-the-job training
