This position reports to the Firmware Engineering Manager and will be trained to:
- Build an AI-enabled monitoring system for SG testbeds with real-world impact
- Enable intern to design and implement end-to-end engineering solutions
- Develop capability in AI integration, system design, and lab automation
- Deliver a production-relevant solution usable by engineering teams
Learning Outcomes:
- Solve engineering challenges using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.)
- Design and prototype innovative solutions to improve engineering workflows, testing, or productivity
- Work closely with engineers to translate problem statements into practical solutions
- Support lab setup, configuration, and maintenance for development and testing activities
- Contribute to automation, test improvements, or development accelerators
- Document and present solutions and learnings to the team
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- AI tools, coding, and problem-solving
- Familiar with programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, or similar)
- Curious mindset with a passion for innovation and experimentation
