This position reports to the Engineering Manager, Product Security & Devsecops and will be trained to:
- Build end-to-end Product Security Testing capability with strong hands-on emphasis
- Enable trainee to independently execute vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
- Embed trainee in real penetration testing engagements early in the program
- Produce audit-ready and engineering-consumable reports
Learning Outcomes:
Execute vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities on firmware and software products
- Use security testing tools to perform scanning, validation, and testing of real systems
- Reproduce and validate security issues and clearly document findings
- Support engineers in understanding vulnerabilities
- Set up and maintain testing labs and environments for security testing activities
- Contribute to automation, scripts, and testing improvements to improve efficiency
- Document and present findings, reports, and learning outcomes
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, vulnerability assessment, or penetration testing concepts
- Familiarity with Linux and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Curious mindset with interest in security testing and exploring system weaknesses
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with engineering teams
- Hands-on working in lab environments
