Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Snowflake Architect to lead and support the end-to-end Snowflake data platform architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Snowflake architecture, administration, security, connectivity, performance optimisation, and troubleshooting.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of complex Snowflake environments and resolve end-to-end platform and connectivity issues while working closely with data engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Snowflake-based data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for Snowflake implementations and enhancements.
- Manage and administer Snowflake environments, including warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, users, and access controls.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing Snowflake solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Snowflake connectivity, integration, and platform-related issues.
- Investigate issues related to network connectivity, authentication, security policies, private connectivity, and data access.
- Optimise Snowflake performance, including query optimisation, warehouse sizing, workload management, and cost optimisation.
- Implement and maintain Snowflake security, governance, role-based access control, and data protection standards.
- Support integrations between Snowflake and external applications, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT tools, and data pipelines.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, DevOps teams, Security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Monitor Snowflake platform health, usage, performance, and operational issues.
- Define and implement best practices for Snowflake administration, architecture, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and other technical team members.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience working with Snowflake Data Cloud.
- Strong experience in Snowflake architecture and end-to-end platform design.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Administration.

- Proven experience troubleshooting complex Snowflake connectivity and integration issues.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake networking and connectivity concepts.
- Experience integrating Snowflake with cloud platforms and enterprise applications.
- Strong SQL and data warehousing experience.
- Experience with performance tuning and cost optimisation.
- Ability to independently analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools.
- Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, or other Snowflake-native capabilities.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in large enterprise data environments.
Snowflake certifications would be highly desirable.
Pay: $600.00 – $750.00 per day
