Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC/R Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration— and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, HVAC design plans, and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak detection.
- Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and document all repairs performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks such as boiler operation, appliance repair, and general mechanical troubleshooting to support building operations.
- Drive company vehicles responsibly while adhering to safety protocols; ensure timely arrival at job sites for scheduled service calls.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in commercial HVAC/R systems with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics reading, and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units used in industrial or large-scale commercial settings.
- Skilled in plumbing, boiler operation, welding techniques, and general equipment repair.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving property maintenance or appliance repair in commercial environments.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred.
