About the role.
Valley Farms is looking for a reliable and safety-focused General Operator to support harvest operations during the busy season. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assisting with the unloading process by backing trucks to stingers, disconnecting equipment, and helping maintain a clean and organized work area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and being part of a fast-paced agricultural team.
What you'll be doing.

Safely back trucks to stingers for unloading activities.

Assist with unloading operations and ensure trucks are positioned correctly.

Disconnect truck cords and related equipment following unloading.

Complete clean-up duties around the unloading and receiving areas.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively with truck drivers and team members.

Support other harvest and operational activities as required.

Perform routine checks of equipment and report any concerns to supervisors.

Contribute to efficient harvest operations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What you'll need to be successful.

High school diploma or equivalent considered an asset.

Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing, equipment operation, or a labour-intensive environment is an asset.

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Dependability and a positive attitude.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak harvest periods.

Basic mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.

Compensation Package: Starting at $26.17 CAD hourly
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
